The Syrian government launches the second phase of the industrial modernization project with fully funded- 14/12/2011
SANA

Under the patronage of the Syrian Prime Minister Adel Safar, the second phase of the industrial modernization project in Syria was launched by Ministry of Industry on Thursday 8-12-2011.
The main target of this program is to enhance the competitive capability of Syrian industries and to face the challenges which emerged after the liberation of commercial exchange agreements and after opening world markets. The textile sector was chosen as a pioneer because of its importance in Syrian industry, its good historical experience, the relative advantage it enjoys and the large number of its labor force.
30 companies of medium and small size which are working in the textile industry will be able to benefit from IMUP-Syria by providing them with technical assistance in all aspects of management, finance, marketing and the rational use of energy and environmental preservation in addition to the implementation of plans of expansion and development, and connect them with customers from target markets.
To join this program, there will be soon an announcement calling for applications in newspapers, Ministry of Industry bulletin and its directorates in the provinces as well as the Chambers of Industry and Commerce and the Association of Syrian exporters of clothing and textiles.
