The Syrian Enterprise and Business Centre (SEBC) Supports the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums 2/4/2012

Within the framework of the ongoing work of the institutional development and capacity building, the Syrian Enterprise and Business Centre (SEBC) and the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Damascus on April 2.
Under the deal, SEBC will be expected to provide Networking and strategic partnerships, training and rehabilitation, counseling, management promotions, marketing and organizing meetings, events and exhibitions.
Dr. Rateb Shallah, the Chairman of Syrian Enterprise and Business Centre (SEBC) explains the importance of this agreement in protecting the rich heritage of Syria through sustainable development and converting heritage to an economic resource in the present and for the future.
The new signed agreement comes as a part of the museums supporting and developing project, which is an initiative of the Syrian First Lady and supported by the scientific and administrative team of the museums management and development unity at the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums - Ministry of Culture.
Since its launch in 2008, the project has established the national network of heritage which included 41 museums and 5000 archaeological sites.
The network aims to achieve the four objectives of the national vision: Telling the story of Syria, promoting the Syrian culture and stimulating the new cultural sector, creating stronger links with other cultures of the world and advancing the social and economic development.
